Nonduality and Channeling PDF Print E-mail

I receive a lot of questions about how I can be teaching nonduality and still be a channel. First of all, I’d like to say that everyone is a channel of sorts because everyone brings through information and insight from elsewhere, from beyond the mind. Everyone has this capacity and experiences this, whether they are aware of this happening or not. Eckhart Tolle and many of the most prolific and inspirational writers describe their writing as something that came through them. And while a lot of channeled information may not be worthwhile, or worse, if it is worthwhile, does it really matter where it came from?

If you have judgments about channeling, this may be an opportunity to examine them. Judgments come from the ego and don’t really serve. They try to pass as discrimination, but true discrimination comes from the Heart. What effect does the information have on you? Does it open your Heart and bring you closer to Love, or does it do the opposite? Let that be your guide.

While it’s wise to be discriminating about things such as channeling, many dismiss it entirely without having any real understanding or experience of it. It’s surprising how easily and quickly people (their egos), even spiritual teachers, form opinions and judgments about things they know little or nothing about. Most people who pass judgment on channeling have never had the experience of speaking to a being on another dimension themselves. I doubt that anyone who had the experiences I’ve had would turn their back on such a blessing. “By their fruits, you shall know them.” If something increases your love, acceptance, wisdom, and compassion, then say yes to it. If it takes you in the opposite direction, run like hell.

Nonduality means “not two” and refers to the absolute truth that everything is a manifestation of One Being. This Oneness is inclusive of everything; nothing can be outside of it. If it exists, it must be part of the Oneness, even channeling, even nonphysical beings and other dimensions. There is room for it all. There is a place for it all. Oneness created it all and is expressing itself in these many ways.

People say things like: “If this is nonduality, how can there be a channel?” or “Who is there to channel—there’s no separate self?” These questions come from a place of confusion. The questioner is confusing the absolute truth of Oneness with the relative truth, which is that the Oneness manifests as seemingly separate objects and individuals. The absolute truth is that no separate self exists, and the relative truth is that there is—there is a person here, there is a channel here, there are nonphysical beings here. These are all manifestations of the Oneness, not separate from it.

This Oneness has manifested this reality, and this reality includes other dimensions, other planets, and other beings, both physical and nonphysical—beyond our wildest imagination. Some of us can communicate with those in other dimensions, many of which are assigned to assist us in evolving toward love, as are all beings, including those that are channeled. The Oneness helps and serves itself by giving itself other life forms that support and assist evolution. What a beautiful plan this is.

  1. I'd have to say I was one who judged channeling as bad. Teachers had said it reduced mind-body-spirit integration in the subject, moving them away from awakening. It seemed to be physically hard on the channels. I also saw entities that clearly had agendas so the value of such forms I discounted entirely. More like possession, if anything. (laughs)

Since then, I've met quality channels and seen examples such as yourself. It's more clear that conscious channeling is better than unconscious. I've met many beings on other levels of existence (personally I avoid "dimensions" as it's misleading - there is no separate space, just values of resolution) and have many experiences of Self flowing through. Indeed, one could say it's all channeled and our sole function is to be a channel for Self to know Itself. A point of focus of the infinite.

Your advice about the heart is excellent and I quite enjoy your articles. Thanks you.
  2. Hi David, Thank you for expressing your thoughts on this. Channeling is a confusing subject because of the variety of beings coming through channels and the range of experiences people have with them. Some beings are not very evolved but pretend to be. Conscious channeling does not drain the channel's energy, but energizes, unlike unconscious (trance) channeling, which can be very unhealthy if done too extensively. Conscious channeling also allows the channel to be more discriminating about what comes through. I love what you said: "...our sole function is to be a channel for Self to know itself." Beautiful. Love and Blessings...Gina
  3. Gina I love everything you do I would give anything to be able to experience that illumination you have - what a gift !
  4. Hi Arielle, Everyone has access to wisdom. Loving wisdom and wanting to receive it will help open you up to receiving it in your own way. No one is ever alone; we all have loving beings assisting us in our growth and communicating to us, but we have to be willing to be quiet and listen. Love...Gina
  5. As someone previously involved in the channelling experience i find your observations to be very refreshing . I do believe that when one "seeks" one finds so who am i tell to the source how or where to provide the guidance/answer .

I also believe in the old adage "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink" And sometimes , the horse will drink foul water .

But perhaps the best quote of all is "By their fruits you shall know them" .
  6. Channeling is an marker for humans to let us know that we are expanding with this wave in wakefulness. I'm glad to have found someone as open and accepting as yourself.
  7. I could say the same--I'm glad you are as open and accepting as you are too! Love...Gina
  8. I am intrigued by this topic. Would channeling help with feelings of guilt that have been greatly reduced but not totaly eliminated since becoming concious?
  9. Hi Aggie, If you're asking if a channeled consultation with me/Theo can be helpful in moving beyond guilt, the answer is yes, probably. We can point the way out of entrapment in such feelings and offer insight and understanding about these things. And then it's up to you to apply and practice what you learn in the session. Guilt is a feeling that stems from egoic thoughts, which keep you tied to the ego and the past rather than living in the joy and peace of the present moment and in contact with Essence. Guilt is often a way we (the ego) try to punish ourselves, but this serves no positive or useful purpose. It is unnecessary suffering and not helpful for healing. Love...
